The compositions in this catalogue demonstrate the breadth of my compositional language: from orchestral and cinematic writing to contemporary, electronic, ambient and hybrid sounds.
They are examples of different musical worlds, not a repertoire with predefined boundaries. You may not find exactly the track, style or atmosphere you are looking for. This is not a limitation: it is the starting point from which we can work.
In addition to the available compositions, I can develop new musical solutions for the specific needs of your project: films, documentaries, television productions, advertising, trailers and other audiovisual content.
Whether you have found the track you were looking for, want an exclusive licence or envision music that does not yet exist, we can identify the most suitable solution together.
Three possibilities, one single goal: finding the right music for your project.
The standard licence is intended for those who have identified a composition in the catalogue that is suitable for their project and wish to use it under the conditions set out in the licence.
Each track has specific pricing conditions, differentiated according to the composition and the available usage categories.
1. Explore the catalogue
Listen to the available compositions and identify the track best suited to your production.
2. Select the usage categories
Choose the categories relevant to your project from those available for the selected track.
3. Check the price
The system calculates the fee based on the selected options and the applicable conditions.
4. Complete the purchase
Proceed with online payment. The licence and its related documentation are issued according to the established procedure, after payment has been verified.
The standard licence is:
Non-exclusive: the same track may also be licensed to other clients for different projects.
Worldwide: no territorial restrictions apply to authorised uses.
Perpetual: for usage categories subject to the perpetual term, the licence has no predetermined expiry date, subject to the obligation to use the track within the specified period and the specific duration of advertising campaigns.
Non-transferable: the client may not transfer the licence to third parties to allow them to exploit the track commercially on their own behalf.
Non-sublicensable: the client may not grant third parties sublicences for the commercial exploitation of the music.
The licence authorises only the uses relating to the purchased categories and the specifically authorised project. Any different uses must be agreed separately and may require a new licence or an adjustment of the fee.
For advertising campaigns, the licence has a duration of three (3) years from the date on which the licence is received by the client.
The three-year duration applies to authorised advertising uses and remains distinct from the deadline for the first use of the track.
The perpetual nature of the licence for other categories does not extend the duration of advertising authorisations beyond the expressly specified period.
The track must actually be used within the specifically authorised project within three (3) years from the date indicated in the issued licence..
The mere purchase of the licence, without actual use of the music in the authorised project, does not satisfy this requirement.
If the client is unable to use the track within the specified period, they may request an extension of a further twelve (12) months.
The extension request must be submitted before the original deadline expires. The extension is valid only if agreed in writing between the parties before that deadline.
If the extension is granted, the track must actually be used in the authorised project within the following twelve (12) months.
If the track is not used within three years and no extension has been agreed in writing before the deadline, the licence automatically ceases to be valid at the end of the initial period.
If the extension is granted but the track is not used even within the additional twelve-month period, the licence automatically ceases to be valid when the extension expires.
The extension is not automatic and cannot be requested retroactively after the original deadline has expired.
In either case, termination of the licence due to non-use does not entitle the client to a refund of the fee paid, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Termination of the licence entails the loss of authorisation to use the track for the specifically authorised project.
The client may use the track in the forms provided for by the purchased licence category, including the technical operations necessary to synchronise it with images.
It is permitted to use portions of the track, select musical passages and apply fades at the beginning and end (fade-in and fade-out), provided that these interventions are strictly necessary for the project and do not alter the musical content of the work.
It is not permitted to modify or rework the composition in a way that alters its musical content, nor to claim authorship of the work or present oneself as the author of the music.
Authorship of the composition always remains with Alberto Puviani.
Depending on the options available for each track, you can request a licence for:
Cinema and films.
Documentaries.
Television productions.
Audiovisual streaming.
Advertising campaigns.
Trailers and promotional content.
Digital media and branded content.
Any uses other than those authorised must be agreed separately and may require a new licence or an adjustment of the fee.
The exclusive licence is intended for those who wish to acquire exclusive commercial exploitation rights to a composition in the catalogue.
The grant may include all usage categories provided for in the catalogue, without territorial restrictions and without a predetermined contractual expiry date, as established in the individual agreement.
Unlike the standard licence, the exclusive licence grants the licensee exclusive commercial exploitation rights within the limits expressly defined by the contract.
Exclusivity does not entail the transfer of authorship of the composition or ownership of the original master, both of which remain with Alberto Puviani.
The exclusive licence is perpetual, according to the conditions established in the individual agreement, subject to the obligation to use the track within the specified period and the specific duration of advertising campaigns.
For advertising campaigns, the licence has a duration of three (3) years from the date indicated in the licence document.
The three-year duration of advertising uses is distinct from the deadline for the first use of the music in the authorised project.
The track must actually be used within the specifically authorised project within three (3) years from the date on which the licence is received by the client.
The mere purchase of the licence, without actual use of the music in the authorised project, does not satisfy this requirement.
If the client is unable to use the track within the specified period, they may request an extension of a further twelve (12) months.
The request must be submitted before the original deadline expires. The extension is valid only if agreed in writing between the Licensor and the Licensee before that deadline.
If the exclusive licence ceases to be valid because the track has not been used within the specified period, the commercial exploitation rights granted under the licence also cease.
Termination includes the exclusive rights and any rights to grant sublicences or transfer commercial exploitation rights arising from the contract, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Consequently, the Licensee may not continue to exercise the exclusive rights or grant third parties rights arising from a terminated licence, without prejudice to any effects and rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Unlike the standard licence, the exclusive licence may allow the Licensee to grant sublicences and transfer the acquired commercial exploitation rights to third parties, according to the conditions established in the individual agreement.
These rights concern exclusively the rights granted under the contract and do not entail the transfer of authorship of the composition or ownership of the original master.
Any authorisations granted to third parties must comply with the scope of the acquired rights and the licence conditions.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, no additional contractual fees calculated on the Licensee's commercial revenues or periodic reporting obligations are provided for.
Alberto Puviani remains the author of the composition and retains ownership of the original master.
The exclusive licence grants commercial exploitation rights but does not transfer authorship of the work or ownership of the original master.
It is not permitted to modify or rework the composition in a way that alters its musical content, nor to claim authorship of the work or present oneself as the author of the music.
Technical adaptations necessary for synchronisation are permitted, including the use of portions of the track and the application of fades at the beginning and end, provided that the musical content of the work is not altered.
Any rights and royalties due to the author under applicable law and relevant agreements remain unaffected.
The fee is agreed in advance through an individual quotation, taking into account the value of the composition and the scope of the exclusive rights granted.
Indicate the selected track and the characteristics of the project.
The financial terms, the scope of the rights granted and any rights to sublicense or transfer them will be defined in the individual agreement before the licence is concluded.
An existing composition does not always fully meet the needs of a production.
Sometimes a project requires a specific sound identity, a particular balance between instruments, a precise atmosphere or a musical language developed specifically to accompany images, narrative and emotions.
In these cases, an original composition project can be considered.
My musical experience encompasses different forms of expression: from classical and symphonic orchestral writing to contemporary cinematic sounds, as well as electronic and ambient music and hybrid solutions.
The musical approach is determined according to the creative and production requirements, without applying predefined formulas.
Every collaboration begins with a preliminary discussion to understand the production's needs, define the musical direction and agree on how the work will be carried out.
Depending on the project, we can consider:
Orchestral and symphonic compositions.
Cinematic and narrative music.
Contemporary and electronic sounds.
Ambient atmospheres and hybrid sound solutions.
Original music for audiovisual productions.
Other musical approaches consistent with the characteristics of the project.
1. Preliminary discussion
You present the project, its objectives and its musical requirements.
2. Definition of the proposal
We identify the musical direction, the characteristics of the composition and how it will be produced.
3. Quotation and agreement
We define the fee, the working conditions and the usage rights.
4. Production
Once the conditions have been agreed, work begins on developing the musical project.
The aim is to put compositional experience at the service of the production, developing the most appropriate musical solution.
All compositions in the catalogue are original works composed by Alberto Puviani.
The compositions are entirely composed, performed, produced and recorded by Alberto Puviani, without contributions or samples from third parties and without the use of artificial intelligence in the creation of the music.
The granting of a licence, whether standard or exclusive, concerns exclusively the usage and exploitation rights provided for in the relevant agreement.
Authorship of the compositions and ownership of the original masters remain with Alberto Puviani, including in the case of an exclusive licence.
The Licensee may exercise only the exploitation rights granted by the contract.
The licence does not authorise the Licensee to claim authorship of the composition or to modify the musical content of the work.
Any rights and royalties due to the author under applicable law and relevant agreements remain separate from the licence fee.
Contractual relationships relating to the licences are governed by Italian law, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
For disputes concerning the interpretation, performance or validity of the agreements, the Court of Modena shall have jurisdiction in cases where such a choice is permitted by law.
Mandatory applicable provisions remain in force, including those concerning territorial jurisdiction in relations with consumers.
All music in the catalogue is composed by Alberto Puviani and is protected by the applicable copyright legislation.
Any use must be authorised through a valid licence and in compliance with its conditions.
Unauthorised uses may result in the consequences provided for by law.
